En los descuentos Deportes Copiapó cayó por 2 a 1 con Unión San Felipe
En un accidentado y friccionado partido Deportes Copiapó en el tercer minuto de descuento cayó derrotado ante San Felipe, cuando ya todo hacía pensar en el regreso a casa con un punto pues se mantenía el 1 a 1 logrado en los primeros 45 minutos, pero un centro llovido desde el sector derecho sorprende a los defensores centrales copiapinos y en el segundo palo a sus espaldas irrumpe Julio Castro para conectar el balón batiendo al arquero Muñoz.
Los primeros 45 minutos fueron parejos, con San Felipe llevando la iniciativa en los primeros minutos, cuando Deportes Copiapó no hacía pie, lo que tuvo su premio cuando a los 15 minutos Gonzalo Alvarez superó la marca de Sasmay por el sector izquierdo y al enfrentar a Muñoz levantó el balón para abrir la cuenta.
Pero al contrario de lo que se podría pensar el gol despertó a Copiapó que comenzó a tener el control del balón y creando llegadas a la portería rival inquietando a la defensa, lamentando sí en un entrevero la lesión que sufrió Lucas Pontigo debiendo ser sustituido por Zederick Vega a los 33 minutos.
Deportes Copiapó siguió presionando hasta que a los 39 minutos Eduardo Puchetta conectó un centro desde la derecha para convertir la igualdad, resultado que se extendió hasta los 45 minutos iniciales.
Sin cambios al comenzar la segunda etapa vivieron los elencos a la cancha y prosiguieron las fricciones, permitidas muchas veces por el árbitro Rafael Troncoso, tuvo consecuencia negativas para los visitantes cuando a los 15 minutos Freddy Munizaga, que ya tenía tarjeta amarilla, por sucesivos reclamos se gana tarjeta Roja.
El técnico Almandoz mueve las piezas para suplir esa ausencia en el mediocampo lo que significó que pese a estar con 10 se fue a buscar el partido, también hizo ingresar para tener pierna fresca a Bryan Valdivia y posteriormente a Esteban Pipino y cuando todo hacía presumir que el punto ya estaba al alcance de la mano, jugándose los descuentos se produjo una desaplicación en la defensa Aprovechada por Julio Castro para dejar los tres puntos en tierra locales y manteniéndose ese reducto como aquel donde Deportes Copiapó no logra obtener puntos desde varias temporadas.
Al término del compromiso el técnico Almandoz reconoció que no se jugó un buen partido, “no se pudo hacer el juego que estamos acostumbrados, la cancha no lo permitía, pero eso no es excusa, ahora deberemos preocuparnos de los lesionados y preparar el próximo partió con Puerto Montt, estando a la espera de la confirmación definitiva de la programación”.
