Abren proceso penal contra Evo Morales por presunto fraude electoral
La fiscalía de La Paz abrió un proceso penal contra el expresidente Evo Morales y sus más cercanos colaboradores por “fraude” en las anuladas elecciones de octubre pasado, informó este miércoles el fiscal general boliviano Juan Lanchipa.
El exgobernante y candidato presidencial Carlos Mesa
solicitó la semana pasada que la fiscalía amplíe las investigaciones por
delitos electorales a Morales, su exvicepresidente Álvaro García y sus exministros
Juan Ramón Quintana (Presidencia), Héctor Arce (Justicia) y Carlos Romero
(Gobierno).
Mesa considera que “quedó
inconclusa” la investigación contra seis miembros del antiguo Tribunal Supremo
Electoral (TSE), cinco de los cuales están en la
cárcel y uno con detención domiciliaria, porque “no tomó en consideración a los
autores intelectuales del hecho”.
Los delitos denunciados por Mesa son uso de documento falsificado y alteración y obstaculización de procesos electorales, además de ocultación de resultados.
