*Con feria preventiva la Seremi de Salud da el vamos a campaña contra el VIH en Atacama.


La Seremi de Salud Atacama en conjunto con el Instituto Nacional de la Juventud (Injuv), la Universidad de Atacama (UDA), y distintas organizaciones sociales civiles de la región, realizaron la Feria de Prevención del VIH/SIDA, ITS y educación sexual en el parque Schneider de Copiapó, con el objetivo de educar a la comunidad en general, promocionando el uso correcto y consistente del preservativo, y toma de Test Rápido de VIH.

“Es positivo saber” es el nombre de la campaña de prevención que está impulsando el Ministerio de Salud contra el VIH e ITS, que busca concientizar a la población acerca de la importancia de realizarse el test.

Al respecto, la Seremi de Salud, Claudia Valle, señaló que “hoy tenemos 690 casos de personas que se encuentran en tratamiento en el Centro de Atención Integral de VIH del Hospital de Copiapó, de esta cantidad, las tasas más altas de notificaciones se concentran en los grupos de 20 a 39 años de edad, y donde el 99% es por transmisión sexual, por eso hacemos un llamado a que tengamos conductas sexuales responsables, haciendo un correcto uso del condón del pene y de vagina, y de esta manera, cuidarse para no contagiarse de VIH/SIDA”.

La actividad, que contó con la presencia de Injuv Atacama, equipo de la Atención Primaria de Salud (APS) Copiapó, la Escuela de Obstetricia de la UDA, y organizaciones de Movimiento de Integración por Copiapó MIC, Fundación “Te Falta Calle” de Caldera, y la Brigada Juvenil por la Diversidad “Harvey Milk” de Caldera, se desplegarán por las distintas comunas de la región, generando conciencia e invitación a toda la comunidad a participar.

En ese sentido, el Seremi de Gobierno, Guillermo Zurita, explicó que “como Gobierno tenemos un tremendo compromiso con la salud pública de todas y todos, y es esencial que podamos generar estas campañas de conciencia y prevención, por lo vamos a continuar generando estas instancias, a través de la institucionalidad sanitaria, de los Cesfam y en general, toda la plataforma de salud pública, podamos contrarrestar esta situación que es bastante compleja, por lo que hacemos un llamado a la comunidad a acercarse y realizarse el test de VIH y descartar cualquier tipo de patología”.

La campaña «Es positivo saber”, se ilustra con una imagen el gesto de unión del dedo índice y anular, lo que hace alusión a una campaña anterior, donde se hacía énfasis al uso correcto del preservativo y también, haberse sometido al test de VIH, ya que el test rápido consiste en hacer un pinchazo justamente en el dedo para sacar una muestra de sangre.
